Simone “AKirA” Trimarchi

Simone “AKirA” Trimarchi is the first Starcraft Italian Champion and veteran of esports in Italy. Thanks to that tournament, World Cyber Games 2001, he managed to stay in the italian gaming scene until today. He was the first journalist to write mainly about competitive gaming (today he is a contributor for Corriere dello Sport), he then became the first caster in Italy giving his voice to the biggest tournament in the country jumping from RTS game to FPS and Card Games. Then he became Head of Content for ESL Italy and at the moment is Esport Manager for cookies digital. Despite his degree in Electronical Engineering, AKirA wants to believe that there will be a future in the gaming industry for him. 44 Years old, father of two gamers and rock lover, he is still competing in Magic: The Gathering, a game he loves from the start and in which he became a well known Youtuber and Twitch Partner. His last success is being awarded as best caster in Italy from IIDEA in 2020 and being selected as Ambassador and Mentor from Christian Vieri and Bernardo Corradi, two famous footballer, for their esport organization named PLB, with which he’s trying to develop a safe and healthy digital space for young esports talent in Italy.
